NUJ FCT Hails Ogbeche’s Appointment As CPS To Cross River Gov

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja Council has hailed the appointment of its Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Ipole Ogbeche, as the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Bassey Edet Otu.

This was contained in a Press Statement issued Tuesday (6/6/23), jointly signed by the Vice Chairman and Secretary of Council, Comrade Osaretin Osadebamwem and Ochiaja Ugwu respectively.

The Council expressed its sincere appreciation to the Governor for deeming it fit and worthy to appoint a thorough bred, who is tested and proven, a core Journalist and image manager to the position of CPS; adding that it is indeed an excellent sign to the media community in the State for better days ahead.

The Statement reads: “The Council congratulated the Governor over his recent victory at the polls and the appointment of a seasoned Journalist, which, no doubt, will bring to bear his wealth of experiences and professionalism on this very appropriate portfolio and ensure a seamless, respectful and mutually beneficial co-existence, amongst the distinct media platforms.”

The Council assured the new CPS of it’s support in projecting, promoting and advancing the policies and programmes of Otu’s Administration.
