Federation Allocation: FCT Area Councils, Others, Share N3.9bn

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has disbursed a total sum of N3,989,697,059.16 to the six Area Councils in the FCT and other stakeholders as its share of federation allocation for the month of June, 2023.
FCTA Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olusade Adesola, made the disclosure in his office, during the Joint Area Councils Allocation Committee (JAAC) meeting, which he chaired.
The sum total shows that June allocation is higher than last month allocation by N2 million.
The breakdown of the allocation shows that Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) got the highest share of N348,376,113.06 million, while Kuje received N286,936,611.41 million and Gwagwalada got N263,739,165.69 million.
Similarly, Bwari Area Council received N258,546,149.57 million; Kwali N248,773,298.40 million and Abaji got N240,797,033.91 million.
The statutory deductions from the allocation include: Primary School Teachers’ salaries which gulped N1,968,303,321.32 billion and 15% Pension Funds, which is equivalent to N226,478,989.57 million.
Others are 1 % Training Fund, which got N39,896,970.60 million; and 10 % Employer Pension Contribution of N107,849,405.63 million.
