FCTA Assures Staff of Prompt Payment of Retirement Benefits

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has expressed its commitment to pay the retirees their benefits as at and when due.
Director, FCT Pension Department, Mr. Rotimi Ajayi gave the assurance during a maiden meeting with New leadership of Nigeria Union of Pensioners under the new scheme, known as Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) in his office, Friday.
Accordingly, the Contributory Pension allows employer and employee to contribute on monthly basis into the Retirement Savings Account (RSA) of staff towards the retirement.
Ajayi said that the FCTA is assiduously working to re-strategize and put modalities in place to ensure that retirees as well as the beneficiaries of deceased staff promptly receive attention towards getting their entitlements.
He reiterated that the Administration is finalizing plans on how to improve the welfare of the retirees; believing that they have dedicatedly serve the nation and should enjoy the benefits of their hardwork.
The Director commended their service to fatherland and also appreciated their uncommon contribution to the development of the Federal Capital Territory.
Responding, the Chairman, Nigerian Union of Pensioners under the Contributory Pension Scheme, Mr Mahmud Umar, urged the Director to use his good Offices to prioritize the welfare of the FCT retirees .
