In a bid to improve service delivery, the FCT Pension Department has declared Thursdays as SERVICOM Day in all Secretariats, Departments and Agencies of the Federal Capital Territory to treat complaints on pension related issues.
Director, FCT Pension Department, Mrs. Elizabeth Atang stated this at the lunching of SERVICOM Day in Abuja.
Atang said that the decision was to give quality service delivery to staff and retirees of the Federal Capital Territory.
In her speech,” SERVICOM initiative was established on the premises that customers and citizens deserve right to be served better by public office holders.
The Director said that the initiative seeks to improve the quality of service that have been rendered by public servants with the objective of educating the citizens on their rights”.
She, therefore, tasked the Pension Desk Officers in SDAs to use Thursdays as SERVICOM Days on pension matter, so as to help staff to understand their rights on retirement processes.
The Nodal Officer of Ministerial SERVICOM, Mrs. Olowookere Bunmi in her presentation at the occasion dwelt on keys to achieve satisfactory performance of duties including accuracy, speed, openness, and professionalism and urged staff to embrace the culture of excellence in discharge of their responsibilities.
The event was also attended by Pension Desk Officers (PDOs) across the FCTA.
