FCTA Places High Premium on Education

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has reiterated its commitment to prioritize educational development in the Territory.
The Director, FCT Secondary Education Board (SEB), Dr. Mohammed Ladan gave this assurance during his induction into the Education Hall of Fame by Nigeria Vogue Media recently in Abuja.
The Director further assured that the FCT Administration will continue to prioritize educational programmes to enable it offer quality education to the FCT residents.
Dr. Ladan explained that no nation develops without quality education for its citizens, hence in FCT, concerted efforts are being made to lay solid educational foundation for its teeming populace.
His words: “Education is a powerful agent of change, which improves all human aspect of life and contributes to social stability as a long term driving force in economic growth”.
“It is the most essential investment any country can make for her future and FCT will not leave any stone unturned to ensure that every resident no matter their status or location gets access to
affordable and quality education”, he emphasized.
“They need to unlock their full potentials as well as contribute to building a better FCT and nation at large”, the Director added.
According to him, the Education Secretariat has what it takes to meet the standards expected with efficient utilisation of quality learning resources and professional development of teachers who continue to create safe and supportive learning environment for students.
The SEB Boss, therefore, urged all stakeholders in the education sector to continue to invest in quality education, while ensuring long term commitment to its sustainability.
He said that FCT Education Secretariat offers formal and informal levels of education from early childhood to primary, secondary, adult literacy as well as tertiary education with no barrier.
He expressed his appreciation to the media organisation for keeping faith with the Board’s various initiatives since he assumed office; attributing every success to the support and hardwork of staff who are determined to add value to the system.
